Faculty: SON Human Milk Shipping Dependent Care Award
The School of Nursing Human Milk Shipping Dependent Care Award will provide up to $300 to offset the cost of human milk shipping or transportation for faculty to attend a professional development or a learning activity requiring travel (e.g., attending a conference). This award is possible thanks to generous funding from the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, Dr. Lucey. This award is meant to provide support when other funding is not available or has been expended.
UCSF faculty members of all series and ranks and time effort percentage are eligible to apply, but preference will be given to first time applicants and applicants in the School of Nursing. Applications must be submitted within one month of travel, with preference for submission prior to travel. Awards are granted on a rolling basis throughout the year or until the funds have been expended.
To apply submit the following materials as a single PDF to Erin McCauley, Assistant Professor in SON, through Qualtrics:
- The SON Human Milk Shipping Dependent Care Award Application;
- A brief budget detailing how these funds (up to $300) will be used to for human milk shipping or transportation (including receipt or estimate);
- A one-paragraph description that summarizes why this funding is important, confirming there are no other funds available, and outlining how participation in the professional conference/meeting and the presentation will enhance professional development or career advancement; and
- Documentation of activity (such as email acceptance to a conference, conference agenda with your presentation, or workshop enrollment confirmation)
